AK vs. 3rd raise
Live 1/2 NL game, table just started play 6-handed. Hero has $120, villain $230. Villain raises to 7 UTG, hero reraises to 20 from button with AKo. Villain raises to 50. What should hero do?

Re: AK vs. 3rd raise
fold. you have no folding equity if you push and you can't call and if you push, the most you can hope for is a coinflip.
a read really helps here though. |

Re: AK vs. 3rd raise
smells like you're dominated. he's raising from UTG and then re-raising. pitch it in the muck and wait for a better spot.

Re: AK vs. 3rd raise
I was villain in this case. Hero pushed and I called with KK. I was wondering if hero's play was reasonable.
It was the 3rd hand at the table, so no reads other than I hadn't done anything crazy. |

Re: AK vs. 3rd raise
No, I busted him out. I kind of figured he was a loose fish, but wanted confirmation.

[ QUOTE ]
what was the point of your 3rd raise? [/ QUOTE ] Of course to get more money in with the best hand or win the pot. Do you think it would be better to smooth call and trap? |
