Default Odds pre-flop

Should pot odds have bearing on pre-flop decisions? How much? Should i play a hand that is trash just because I get good pot odds PF?

Preflop hand selection groups in SSHE generally indicate the suitability of your hand to the field size. So from that perspective, you could say it is pot odds. To be honest, I basically memorized the tables and started out playing pretty much robotically preflop. It allowed me to work on the decisions on the flop and beyond.

The iterative process of working on both aspects of play then took me back to a little more dynamic decision making. This allows me to use table and stat reads along with my position to determine whether to play a given hand.

Ed Miller had a much better post on this some time back... Link
