overcalls on flop?
This hand came up earlier and i couldn't decide whether to go for overcalls throughout the hand or raise for value. Was also semi-tilting after a totally bizzarre beat, so my head was probably not in the best place at the time.
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG raises, Hero calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 calls, 3 folds, BB calls. Flop: (10.50 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players) BB checks, UTG bets, Hero ... Ignore the pre-flop cold call, i regretted it as soon as i did it, lol. What my best line from here? |

Re: overcalls on flop?
preflop: if you are gonna play i think you should 3bet, but it seems like you know this already...
on the flop i think a smoothcall is ok, but you have to remember that the highest flush that someone can be drawing at is only J hi so the amount of action you will get on this hand might be limited... |
