Playing the odds is throwing me off...!??!

I have been playing poker for about two years. I am down overall...but this is not a Pity Post. I have recently learned how to calculate odds and use them respectivly. I am not real good at it yet and i am sure it will just take time for it to become the second nature it needs to be. However, I seem to be playing under par since I have been incorporating odds into my play. Is this normal?

If you're making correct moves based on proper odds, your results will definitely improve over the long run. You're just experiencing short-term variance right now.

When unlearning to learn properly, things generally get worse before they get better...in just about any arena.
