was this a good push
I had pushed 2 of the last 3 hands because I had AK and TT. My opponents were poor players they had been loose early in the game but were tightening up now that the blinds were high. It was folded to me and I pushed.

Re: was this a good push
I would often fold this if the blinds had bigger, or possibly even smaller stacks, with the sizes they are in this hand I probably go ahead and push again. SB isn't going to kill me if he spite calls and wins, and BB probably has enough chips to roll his eyes and fold.

Re: was this a good push
It's sort of a good question. You're probably posting because you got called and lost. Regardless of that, I had a similar situation the other day. I really don't like to push 3 hands back to back - it really brings on the spite calls and makes it hard for you to push later. I had something like:
AK - push, everyone folded JJ - push, everyone folded XX - ?? where XX is any hand that I would normally push, but don't really want to get called with. The last time this came up, I folded. I had just stolen two rounds of blinds and I didn't want to completely decimate my FE. The other way around is even better: XX - trash pushing hand, everyone folds AK - push, everyone folds AA - push, spite call, bye bye sucker |

Re: was this a good push
Ya I probably should have folded this one just to keep FE. I already felt like I had little left because everyone else was limping and min raising and my pushes were conspicuous. It seems to me to be a precarious situation later in the game when you are playing against players who will call you with a wide range of hands to your mutual disadvantage.

Re: was this a good push
I wouldn't have pushed for a third time in a row. From my experience, I almost always get a call on a third push in a row or a raise even. People just don't give any credibility to 3x pushes in a row. That hand that you had wasn't even a great hand to push with. I agree with lorinda and may have folded with AXo.

Re: was this a good push
Yep.
"but were tightening up now that the blinds were high" That's your cue. Both stacks are large enough in that they shouldn't be attatched to their blinds. |

Re: was this a good push
Folding this is really bad. You have A7o against two random hands that have 4 and 6 BB meaning that they won't get delt better hands often enough to make this a fold. The only drawback that I can see that ICM doesn't account for is that if you get called by the BB's inferior hand and he sucks out then you don't have enough chips to get any FE. If you're going to fold this though, then what use is FE?
