Default AK lvl 1

Just wondering how some of you play AKs first level of a MTT? Say 1-3 limpers to you, you find AKs, do you limp too? or pop it? then how do you continue if you hit?

Also, how compared to AKs, would you play KK lvl 1 of a MTT?? same situation, 1-3 limpers you find KK... what do you do?

This has been happening a bunch to me recently, and Im unsure of the proper play.

Thanks

Default Re: AK lvl 1

i'm nobody, and i hate the beginning of MTTs with a passion for this exact reason, but i like quadrupling the (tiny) blind with AK, and continuation betting about 6-8 blinds if i dont hit. If i do hit, i like acting real strong. the KK, i like getting my money in at any point of a tourney preflop, if possible. it really depends on position and how many limpers
....if there has been a raise in front of me when holding AK, i like reraising, because i find peoples play very suspect at the beginning of MTTs
