Is this a bad AA fold
Villian seems to be raising alot preflop but hasn't done anything crazy postflop that I have seen.

Re: Is this a bad AA fold
I don't understand the turn call if you're going to fold the river. Did you put him on a Q on the flop?
I think you have to call the river given that you've gotten that far. What convinced you that you were behind that didn't on the turn? Just that he continued to pound when the board got scary? -Craig |

I called the turn as I thought qq and maybe QJ was also possible on the river I no longer beat that. |

Re: Is this a bad AA fold
I don't think this fold is as bad as is being made out. Given that you say he is reasonable post flop, what can you put him on that you beat?
A play I have toying with recently on a paired board with AA and position is capping the flop, checking behind on the turn and calling the river. But getting J9 runners is damn damn ugly. |

Re: Is this a bad AA fold
After hearing your explanation it makes a lot more sense. I jumped to conclusions. Against a solid player it's probably good, but you're read seems sketchy so I think it's worth a call.
In all seriousness, thank you for pointing out that I need to get out of the bigpot just call don't think mentality. -Craig |

Re: Is this a bad AA fold
I'd almost never fold AA HU. This case is an exception.
