Default Wow, this forum is really growing

Look at all the newbies in the forum. Do you think it's a good or bad thing for the forum to keep growing?

Oh no. Of course not, I like to interact with new people. But of course, easier to interact with 100 than with 1000. Just wanted to hear comments about this growth, and maybe some suggestions to keep up with the pace and keep the forum readable.

I'm a newcomer, and at some point you were too. Eventually, the weak players and posters will filter through, and the truly dedicated (and intelligent) players and posters will remain.

Well a lot of new readers have got to stem from that Sports Illustrated article which plugs twoplustwo.com several times.

A lot of new posters can be frustrating sometimes, because they clog the forum, but it is also a good thing because some really good posters will come out of those new posters who will add a lot to the forum.

I barely read this forum anymore. It used to be my favorite but there are so many stupid threads I don't come around much anymore. Ocasionally a good strategy thread still happens and I like those even with all the horrible advice they contain.

The growth of 2+2 will turn all of the forums into mini rgp's or at least the zoo before long.

I still seek out the posters I really admire and respect and kind of disregard the rest.

I think this is grossly unfair. Does it get annoying when an experienced postser sees posts about how AK sucks for the 100th time, of course. Does that mean that new posters shouldn't get the right to post about it as they figure out that it doesn't really matter that its "behind every pocket pair," of course not. Just because we got here first doesnt mean new posters don't have the right to figure it out for themselves also.

The growth of the forum though does mean that more bad advice is given, and the more respected posters won't end up seeing some interesting threads which is too bad. I wonder if there would be a way to split the forum. Then again, all the new traffic will probably die down shortly anyway;.
