Absolute 25,000 ARP WSOP Tourny

Anyone entering this? I don't play at Absolute anymore and was thinking of cashing in my points for some cheesy t-shirts and saw the tourny tomorrow night. Has to be +EV compared to their awful t-shirts LOL!

there were other 25K tourneys for $12,500 that most of the point players entered earlier in the year. the payout scheme was pretty flat so even 18th place got at least $100. for a WSOP seat with the same buy-in, I'd have to assume it is winner take all.

also, there were reports of people getting phone calls from Absolute reps offering to buy their excess points at a rate of about 0.2c per point (similar to party's value).

it's too bad you can no longer accumuate points just from deposits.

I just emailed their support about the ARP deposit bonus (they used to give 4X your deposit). Apparently they came to their senses and stopped it. The 25,000 tourneys were awesome (I actually managed to have a meltdown as chip leader at the final table of the one I got into due to some incredibly bad play). The 25K WSOP tourney is winner take all. They also have 5,000 and 1,000 satellites to the 25K event. Damn I miss those reload ARPs!

Me too. I would deposit just to build up my bonuses and points but now that we get 0 points and the bonuses are limited on time I don't even deposit. Was just planning on emptying my ARP into some cheap merch but figured I'd give the tourny a shot.
