Default Can I fold this? which street?

Is it standard to 3-bet the flop? I thought MP2 comes along with us anyway, so it's not a big mistake and at least I know where I stand.
Turn I don't like. I have no backdoor draw and probably drawing to 3 outs (if he has Ax two pairs) or I'm drawing dead (against a set). To make it even worse, with a Q, MP2 might just outdraw me.
So can I find a fold on the turn?
River is a clear fold although the pot is very big?

I would probably play it the exact same way. Don't fold the river.

I hate calling down here. Bet turn, fold if raised, bet river if not.

Not seeing a showdown here against an unknown is a bad idea.

Yes I called down, 'cause I've seen some really cheesy things from flop raisers recently. I was shown A8. So I had 9 (3x 9+K+Q) outs on the turn, so I definetely had to call.
Still unsure about the river. The flop was kinda drawless, his play screams I can beat aces.

(The good part: people coldcalling raises with A8o even at 3/6)

am i missing something? the villain has shown maximum strength at every post flop opportunity. barring very loose play from him in the orbits before this hand, it seems like you can definitely get rid of it. you thought you were beat, you called down and you were beat. did the turn and river feel like value calls or crying calls?
i like the idea of leading the turn and folding to a raise much better than the calldown, it's the same price if he just calls and it's much more likely you're good. you actually could just check/fold the turn, but calling isnt bad if you intend to fold unimproved on the river.

nah, I don't like check/folding the turn because what if he's pumping an OESD on the flop? JT is such a common limping hand.

the river play is read dependent for me. his play does say he can beat TP, but people do such weird stuff sometimes.

I think check/folding the turn is terrible advice. No way Im folding top pair second kicker on the turn just because someone capped the flop. We have outs to beat any two pair he might have(unless he has AK). If he has a set, oh well. He is gonna get two more BB of out me. I'd check/call both streets and bet the river if he checked through the turn.
