Shorthanded .05/1
I have been trying to improve my shorthanded game at .05/1. I always seem to lose money when the table starts collapsing. But i do see a lot of lose horrible play when the table gets small. Here is an example SB is a very lose very Lag player. I have been playing with him for about 80 hands with him and he seems to just constantly bet. He had a VIPI of 72% when we were 10 handed.
Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is CO with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB raises, 1 fold, Hero calls. Flop: (5 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero calls. Turn: (5.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls. River: (13.50 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, Hero calls. Final Pot: 19.50 BB Results in white below: Hero has 8c 9c (two pair, nines and eights). SB has 6s 7s (flush, queen high). Outcome: SB wins 19.50 BB. Is limping in with 8/9 suited ok when we are shorthanded like this or should i come in for a raise ,or just fold? When i looked at this hand i felt like i was just spewing chips and i played it poorly but it is shorthanded so im not sure what to do. Ive read SSHE and have been doing well 10 handed almost at 10k hands to do a checkup. |

Re: Shorthanded .05/1
Never open limp here. I'd probably fold, maybe raise vs tight blinds.

Re: Shorthanded .05/1
you cant open limp from late possition. either raise or fold this, depending on your reads of the players, your image and your postflop skills.

Re: Shorthanded .05/1
I would raise PF. Wouldn't raise the river.

Re: Shorthanded .05/1
I would just fold this, the chances of finding tight blinds in .5/1 are as good as..
I dunno, something pretty unlikely. |

Re: Shorthanded .05/1
You're giving up way too much if you fold this in the CO in an unraised pot. It's true that raising > limping, but a limp is still better than a fold IMO.
