I presume it's a fold in ring games, and an even easier fold in tourney? Tourney info: generally tight with 2-3 seeing 4th. With 3 lows seeing the flop, it's pretty clear to say that at least 12 lows are dead. If he blanked 5th, I was going to bet again. His raise on 4th indicates that he was going to see the river and probably had 4straight. The 3 either paired him, gave him 4 flush, or gave him a straight. Presuming he didn't raise 4th and bet 5th, is it still a fold? If I made two pair AAKK (ak are live), do I still fold? |

Re: Simple stud hand... easy fold 5th?
I think a fold is a good idea on 5th. He's probably got half the pot locked and is likely drawing to a straight (or already has it) or a flush. Even if he misses the straight there are a lot of ways he can take down your half of the pot.
If you had two pair, I would still probably fold. At this point you're risking 3BB (your calls on 5/6/7 streets)to win a hi pot of ~4. Not exactly what I'd call good odds. |
