I hit my outs, but its 2 bets to me on the turn
Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (10 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is CO with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (8 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (8 players) SB checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB calls. This is a call on the flop getting 13:1. Turn: (8 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (8 players) SB checks, BB bets, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Hero ??? Ok I hit my out. But its 2 bets to me. I didn't have a good read on the raiser. Reraising seems out of the question here. If I'm behind 2 pair, then I have 3 outs and this is a fold. On the other hand, maybe I play KTs this way as UTG+2, but that's a stretch. Thoughts? |

Re: I hit my outs, but its 2 bets to me on the turn
That flop is pretty ugly for you, and even if you're good right now, which is somewhat unlikely, a large number of river cards can drown you, not to mention that calling a BB 3-bet is going to give you an ulcer.

Re: I hit my outs, but its 2 bets to me on the turn
I'm just a 2/4 player, but I would fold here. It's two bets to you, and it might get 3bet and even capped if you call these two. I don't think your ahead often enough, or will be ahead after the river card often enough, to make this call.

Fold the flop. Your draw is very weak and it is extremely sensitive to redraws.

Fold the flop. Your draw is very weak and it is extremely sensitive to redraws. [/ QUOTE ] Getting 13:1, I'd have to value my hand at less than 3 1/3 outs in order to fold. With 2 overcards, even with everyone still in the hand, I think I can value my hand at more than that. |

Fold the flop. Your draw is very weak and it is extremely sensitive to redraws. [/ QUOTE ] We *are* sesitive to redraws, but getting 13 to 1 witih what are most likely clean outs is nothing to sneeze at. This is a horrible board, but it's also a huge pot. |

[/ QUOTE ] Do you see how your posts contradict one another? Or at least come very close to it? Even when we hit our kings or jacks, we can't jam the turn if there's ANY opposition. We get what we want, and still we're in bad shape. Yes, sometimes you won't see it two bets to you on the turn, but EIGHT people saw that flop. No way no how this is worth continuing with. |

[/ QUOTE ] Fold the flop. With 8 people in the pot, it's highly unlikely that top pair is going to win this pot, especially considering someone could have flopped a straight. Betting (or calling) with overcards works best with a small field and an uncoordinated board. |
