Default Fold an overpair or call down?

Villian is a 48/24, aggressive post flop.

At the time the turn call seemed obvious given his preflop raising standard, but now I'm not so sure. There aren't that many hands I beat after his turn raise.

The turn check/raise usually is a sign of great strength. Any reads on his postflop play?

I think u'll see AdK/Q often enough or some other crap against an aggro player to call down. I think he would have gotten frisky with an overpair or two diamonds on the flop.

No specific post-flop reads, just a high aggression factor (3.0 or so I think, smallish sample though of 50 hands).

What through me off was the raise on the paired 5. I thought maybe he was trying to represent trips given his high post flop aggression, but I had a hard time believing he raised with A5 preflop, even with his standards.

Given it was HU, I didn't think much about the flush possibility (which of course was what he had).

Still I believe you did right in calling down. Probably pretty close in EV though.

Against a player with these stats I'm calling down on this board.
