Default Raising the turn with unimproved AK

The SB in this hand was a sLAG at 32/22/2 and seemed like a solid player postflop and didn't notice him getting out of line. The button was a loose passive. I think it's quite possible for the SB to be pushing a flush draw here so I raised the turn to try to knock out the button (if possible) and charge a flush draw if that was in fact what the SB had. Is this chip spewing or good move in a middling sized pot.

Getting 8.5-1 and it being fairly unlikely a raise is coming from behind me I have odds to call a turn bet.

what did you hope to accomplish with your raise?

what purpose does it serve?

don't you think getting 3-bet would suck?

My thinking at the time is I have the odds to call a bet, but raising might be better as it is still possible I am ahead and I might be able to knock out the button with a raise while at the same time take a free showdown. I am not saying I like the turn raise but that was my thought process at the time.

Yes a 3 bet would suck, and I would fold.

I dont think you have enough,A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] would not be nice, youve only 4 full outs really

but if you just call and miss the river you can fold to a bet, only losing one bet, this way you lose 2 if your hand is worse,
were you going to call the river unimproved if you just called the turn?

If the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the river were bad cards for me then I would have been ahead going into the river unless the SB has specifically x7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

The button could literally be on any two here, calling the flop bets doen't me he connected with the flop or has a strong draw.
