Default Hand from PS $150 tournament. Correct play here?

Here's a hand from the recent PS $150 tournament. Blinds are at 1500/3000 with 150 ante, and I have 21191 chips (8 bbs). This was during the final two tables with 16 players left. First paid out $12.5k, 9th ~$850, and 10-18th ~$600. Average chip stack was ~24000. I obviously want to win the tournament. No applicable reads either.

i push here 100% of the time. you're still far enough away from the final table, the stack that pushed is very short stacked, and aq is a good hand.

All in. Great place to take a stand and try to make a move on the chip leaders.

Thanks for the replies. I had the same reasoning when I moved all in. The initial raiser had QT, but the button woke up with kings.

There are very few hands that the button should be calling with, and you just ran into one of them. Unlucky, but you definitely made the correct move.
