Default krappy kings hand

One tight, one short stacked. obviously they each have an ace (always do). but how do u play this? seems simple enough...but is it? i was thinking about smooth calling the flop and raising the turn, your thoughts?

I like it all. UTG+2's stop-n-go isn't looking fun but you have a good opportunity to protect your hand on the turn.

That would've been a horrible flop to smoothcall. The board is too coordinated, and yet your hand is too good to wait for a safe turn. Easy flop raise.
The turn raise I believe is correct (I don't know if I'd have the balls to make it but that's my own problem).
River crying call is ok if they're short stacked.

*grunching*

id play it the same way on every street, folding to a 3-bet on the turn or a raise on the river.

Im not seeing what hands KK would be ahead of to a 3-bet on the turn. Are we drawing for a paired board to counterfeit a 2 pair?

edit: and a K of course

I would not have waited until the turn to raise. On the turn, even though UTG+2 pulled a stop 'n' go, you still need to raise, I think. I don't see a good fold here, anywhere. I would have hoped that UTG+2 had QQ or TT, although once UTG overcalls, it probably doesn't matter.

UTG+2 could be overplaying (or bluffing) a smaller PP, among other things.

They could all be on draws. On the turn, I think there's a reasonable chance that we currently have the best hand, since there are so many draws on the board, and the only other aggressor probably would have capped pre-flop with AA.

Yup, we have 8 outs against J9 for example. And we almost have odds to draw to our 2 outs against a set. I don't think he'll have a straight since he betted the flop. He could and it would suck, but he rarely has it. Easy call.

Lets say the board pairs the 4 on the river, are we better off calling and hopefully getting the overcall, or raising?
What if its the 8, 9 or J (non [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img])?
What if its the 9 or J of [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]?

I think id only raise the 4 and call the 89J, folding to a check-raise from UTG if it was a 9orJ[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. thoughts?
