Default Make top two-pair, but another player shows aggression

Should I have raised this pre-flop? Should I consider folding the turn or river? Anyone want to guess what opponents have? Thanks in advance.

the only place you could fold here is PF.

To 3-bet the turn before calling down or not is your only real postflop choice.

Don't fold this anywhere but slowing down on the turn is ok without any reads.

UTG looks like A4s/AT/44 assuming a reasonable player. BB Ax.

UTG and BB are pretty darn happy with their hands. I can't see folding here. I would slow it down the way you did though, with all that action. The only draw on the board is a pretty unlikely wheel.

Without a read, UTG has 44. Wouldn't shock me if UTG had A4 or T4, though, and BB has a weak ace. Also wouldn't surprise me if UTG limped with AA or TT. Who knows? I guess with such confidence in reading their hands, it's no wonder I'm just calling down with top two. HU against either one of them, I would be raising.

I think you played this well, tough to have top 2 cracked by a set if that's what you were up against. If UTG had the set he played it very well. Mark him as a potential player to avoid.

You guys are good. UTG had 44 and BB indeed had AK.

How did you guys know that the BB had Ax, and not UTG? Was it the action on the turn.

By the turn I could already smell the set, but I just couldn't see myself folding top two-pair.

Why do you say the UTG is a good player? Because he played the set aggressively?

Thanks

AT is a hand that begs for a small field and position. we have neither here. its a marginal hand in this situation that can get us into trouble if we aren't very careful.

i agree. i'm chiming in to say that before the "post-SSH, be looser and more aggressive" trend on the micro-forum, ATo was a routine fold in situations like this.
iirc, ATo used to be viewed as playable as a steal hand from CO and button for the most part.
