Default two pair river play

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Villain is shaping up to be pretty typical LP, perhaps even looser than usual over about 35 hands. He doesn't seem prone to slowplaying. Can I reraise the river?

On a side note, I'm working on preflop aggression and thought about a raise here. Anyone in favor?

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
4 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero checks.

Flop: (2.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

Turn: (2.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (4.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero...

I'd just call here -- maybe it's a little MUBsy, but I'm thinking a LP villain plays 34 or 22 this way too often.

EDIT: And I'm thinking that I'd raise this pre-flop too, HU against the LP's random hand.

On a side note, are you and krishanleong marrying each other, or is that just a coincidence!?

seems like the odds are pretty good that it couldn't be a coincidence, doesn't it?

Ah, the first 2+2 wedding...

"Do you, krishanleong, find taking mlb3zr to raise and to call, to suck out and to be sucked out, in upswings and downswings, to be +EV?"

Jokes are fine, but you have to comment on the hand.

Seems like an easy 3-bet. If he is loose enough, he could have any two pair. If he has a set, that sucks. Oh well. You beat plenty of hands that would raise you on the river. 3-bet for value.

A preflop raise would be pretty bad unless he VP$IP more than 80%. Even then I don't think I could pull the trigger.

OK, OK, if you insist...

Hero calls. You're not exactly anywhere near the nuts, and there are many things that villain plays this way that beat you. There are plenty that you beat, however, so I still think you have a good chance of taking it down.

I think a crappier two pair is the most common hand you'll see here, but not often enough to make up for when villain has a set or a straight and caps. Just call.
