VEGAS! (on $2000)
here's the thing:
thanks to a couple of big casinowhorin' scores and a nice run at 3/6 last month, i'm seriously considering the vegas weekend in june. i've never been. what i want to know is this: will 2k be enough to do it right? more? less? (including hotel, airfare, dining and drinking, and gambling for four days/three nights- i'm planning to lose but will be happy to win) i'd have to get my own room, it'd have to be on or very close to the strip. i expect to gamble quite a bit (20 hrs/day should do it). I am generally the cheepest bastard on the planet, but i have expensive tastes and no regard for money while on vacation. especially appreciated would be a good link or two to applicable threads/ sites/ etc... |

if i do end up going last minute, i'd probably take tyou up on your offer if i can't find a room at less than a bill per night.
that's very generous of you... i'd bring some... party favors... to show my appreciation. |

Re: VEGAS! (on $2000)
Weekends are pricey, but I don't see you spending more than $1000 in 4 days/3 nights for room, food, and most entertainment. If you're hitting up clubs, etc, it might be a bit more. I was there for a week, and it cost me $1100 or so. Though I never spent a dime on alcohol or girls, and I didn't get a room the first night I was there (Saturday) since they're so expensive that night. Gotta be creative :-) and you can make the money go far.
Try your luck at the tables, and play it by that. If you're getting owned, cut back your spending for the rest of the trip and be a bit less extravagant. But $2,000 should be more than enough. |
