Default Computerized waiting list question

Aside from the Wynn and MGM Grand, has anyone been in a cardroom that uses a computerized sign up system?

Borgata, Foxwoods.

The FW system is a computerized chalkboard - they don't use any of the features(average wait time) and you have no idea how long the list is after the first 20 names on the screen. I wish they would have the player declare what their primary game is so when they are seated they get removed from all other lists.

Horseshoe Tunica will be computerized when the new room opens in about a month. You'll also be able to see your name on the list from your hotel room t.v and all the bars and various locations around the casino. A pager system will also be in place. Plazma high definition t.v's will be abound.

I don't understand the advantage of the system at the Wynn? What's the difference between having the list on a computer screen or a clipboard?

At MGM the dealer has seat open buttons so the guy with the list sees automatically when a seat opens up with no yelling "seat open" which seems to be rarely heard or acknowledged. I think this is the key ingredient to make a computerized system work and Wynn seems to have bypassed it?

The Orleans (in Las Vegas) has had it for many years.

FWIW, I think the Bellagio has dropped the ball on this issue.

It's nice to see more rooms using it. All in all, I think the MGM rocks! YMMV.

Best Wishes

Howard

Can you describe these buttons more? How big are they that the brush can see them from far away - or does the brush have to walk by the table to see them?

The buttons are linked electronically to the front desk.

Harrah's in New Orleans uses the same system/software as Foxwoods.
