Default Mid pair against PF raiser - 3/6

Villain here is a weak LPP. I bet the river with the intention of folding to a raise. And I know the PF limp was bad.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero calls, UTG+1 raises, 6 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: (5.33 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (4.66 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

River: (6.66 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets

Not a fan of your preflop limp at all.

Flop and turn are fine.

Do you really think a weak LPP player is going to raise on the river? He'll just call. Do you think he'll ever fold an overpair? If he will (which I doubt), then that's the only reason to bet. Otherwise check-fold. He won't bet any hands you beat.

check the river. You say he is a weak LPP...so maybe fold for one bet.

limping UTG with hands like 87s,89s,and 9Ts, is fine, BUT, you have to be a very loose passive game.
