If UTG is loose or is known to pay off like a slot machine, then yeah, without thinking about it.

I'll put 5% of my stack in pre-flop, 4-way in position with SCs every day and twice on sunday. This is the type of hand that you play to bust a big PP and this situation looks like a great spot to do it.

Some reads on the table dynamic could be helpful though, because against aggressive opponents, they can make it incredibly expensive for you to draw, but against loose-passives you can get paid off very well.

I'd be more likely to call if they were tight players, and I could put them on a narrower range of hands. I call anyway though.

Exactly. The looser they are, the more likely I am to fold 98s. You are looking for any piece of the flop against tight players, but against loose players you may be dominated, as scary as that sounds, they like to raise J9s etc.

This is actually a lot better to call if you know UTG is tight with his raising. If UTG was loose and you felt you could outplay him, calling with no limpers is ok so long as you steal enough to make up for the fact that you are a slight dog.

With that many people in the pot, the chances you can steal are very low so I only like playing it if you can gaurantee someone is going to pay you off.

That said, it is almost always the case that someone is going to pay you off.
