I didn\'t realize, I was using Live Poker as an incentive.
I have been going through a downswing playing live so I have taken two weeks off. I haven't accomplished a damn thing this week. This is the second week and I hadn't realized that I had become more productive in order to justify going to play poker two nights a week.
Being self-employed it is easy to lose your motivation and playing live poker has become a reward. I better go ahead and finish this report and do this and that so I have time to go play poker, etc. I am right back in the old dull boring grind were the days all seem to run together and it has only been a week and a half. I probably lollygagged around and missed more income than I lost in my downswing. |

Re: I didn\'t realize, I was using Live Poker as an incentive.
i don't know how you want people to respond to your post...
if you're looking for advice... find some more hobbies so that you have other motivation to finish your work... or don't let yourself study poker until you finish your work... I think most people, myself included have the opposite proble... poker is an excuse not to do work, not a reason to work harder... |

I don't know how I would like people to respond, sometimes I just post my thoughts and see what happens.
