Caesar\'s In $1,000+50 NL Tourney last night.
I didn't play any poker because my self-imposed Hiatus isn't up until Saturday but I sweated a friend. He busted out about 30th out of 100.
They limited it to 100 players and turned a large number of players away. Don't even ask about the structure because I never saw a sheet. I am just amazed that so many people would throw down $1,050 knowing that only 10 would make the money. Caesar's might have paid less than ten but normally in their big tourneys, 10th gets his buy in back. |

I played
What is wrong with paying 10% of the field? 10th got $2500 I believe. Pretty standard I thought.
Structure was start wtih 5k. Blinds 25-50 and they went up a level every 30 minutes. 25-50 50-100 100-200 150-300 25 ante 200-400 25 ante 300-600 25 ante 400-800 50 ante 600-1200 100 ante 800-1600 100 ante After the first 2 hours, it was really fast. I was built up to 8k prett quick, but couldnt get past that then hung around half avg the whole time til I went out 19th. |

Re: I played
I had no idea they ran tourneys at Cesars. They have poker tables there now? (Forgive me I haven't been there in about a year and a half).
Do they run satellites for the tourney, is it every night, and is 1K the normal buy in? |

Maybe 99 should get paid, then only one guy loses his money, and everyone else makes $10.

10% is not uncommon.
