I've done the preliminary work and narrowed it down to two choices. It's not Bobby Flay prancing around in the desert. it's not the Naked Chef cooking for a bunch of blokes in his london walkup. it's not even Chairman Kaga.

Rachael Ray gets to travel the country and the world eating in all the great and not so great cities in $40 a Day. She's done Vegas, Hawaii(twice), SF, NY, Miami...all on the network's dime.

Ming Tsai (Ming's Quest) gets to travel the country and go on various adventures. He's fished for halibut in alaska, trout in colorado, lobsters in Maine, picked chantrele mushrooms and gone falconing in vermont, went to a luau on the big island and all sorts of other great adventures. then, on the second half of the show he cooks up what he caught/gathered.
