Default Do I hear a whiff?

Villain seems reasonably aggressive. I have a LAG image if anyone is paying attention.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Hero bets, MP1 folds, CO raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

Hero... checks or bets?

If reasonably aggressive is your excuse to check, well then check away.

It depends on what I've seen CO do on the river. If he's aggressive and will bet with all sorts of draws out there, then I check. If he's mousy and doesn't like betting with 3-flushes and 3 to a straight out, then I'm leading.

The pot is relatively small, so going for a CR might not be a bad idea. I think, however, that this board is too dangerous to attempt that. I'd lead here and not sweat about the 1BB I might have lost, unless CO raises, in which case I'm jumping for joy.

I think you have to bet here. I would hate to check and get nothing. In fact, I have done it so often that I have decided not to do it again!

Of course, if he is betting into me the whole time

3 to a straight out, then I'm leading.

Just a small note, but with 9JQK out there, anyone with a T has a straight.

check and let him bet. he thinks you have a jax not a flush, especially if you read him as aggressive and doesn't check behind on the river.

Bet with the intention of 3 betting. I would have 3 bet the flop, if you planned to play the rest of the hand like you did I think a flop checkraise would be superior to betting and calling a raise.
