I CERTAINLY HOPE THIS IS A JOKE.

If it isn't it is possibly the funniest thing I have seen posted on this site to date.

Got it 3 years ago for $750/eye. It took about 6 months to completely stabilize(had a little "starburst" at night before that), but it is so worth it. The best is for trips where you don't have to lug around solution and contacts.

It's definitely worth it, although I've heard that there is a new procedure where they stick a permanent lens on top of your eyeball(less invasive) that is supposed to be better.

I think lasik is just a brand type thing, like calling tissues "kleenex".

I have a friend who had laser eye surgery, he seems to like it, I don't know how much it costs but I think anywhere frome 500-1500 per eye.

I've thought about getting this myself, but I can't stomach the thought of going thru the procedure.

$5000 total.
No side effects. Still 20/20. Never had halos or anything like that. Glad I got.

One suggestion. If you can, find an independent optometrist to evaluate you as a candidate. My eye doctor told me the vast majority of problems come from people who never should have been approved to get it in the first place.

I have been thinking about getting this also. Contacts are a pain in the butt.

Can you function the next day?
Are there any downsides?

I have to think if Tiger Woods and Greg Maddux got it it must be pretty easy and safe.

I was also looking into getting this but why is there such a large difference in the prices? Some people say they get it for $600/eye while others say they paid $5,000+.
