The nearest casinos are in northwest Indiana. There's a Trump and a Harrah's. You should probably post this in the B&M forum for more info.

Millenium Park and Navy Pier are the other big attractions other than Wrigley Field--I'm a Cubs fan but I prefer US Cellular--Cubs games are great if you're looking for a party, Sox games are better if you want to watch the game, have good food, and get tickets at a reasonable price. The history of Wrigley is worth paying to be there (the Babe's called shot, the Ivy, the manual scoreboard, etc.). The Shedaquarium, Field Museum, Art Institute, and the Museum of Science and Industry are cool, too. Cool places to eat are the Billy Goat Tavern (it's the cheeseburger, cheeseburger place that SNL skit is based on) and try a Chicago style hot-dog with everything from most any hot dog place. Good deep-dish pizza places: Connie's, Giordano's, Mama Leone's, and Lou Malnatti's (not neccesarily in that order). A good fancy pants place for dinner (pricey) is Tru's. If you like Chinese food go to Chinatown--Chicago has one of the largest Chinatown districts in the US. There are some great steakhouses, too. I suddenly went stoopid and I can't think of any names right now (okay, it happened a while ago, but I can still dream that I went stoopid recently). Go to Taylor Street if you're looking for a good Italian place to eat. The Garfield Park Conservatory is pretty cool if you like plants and that kinda thing--but don't go at night.
