Default Underpair check/raise on the flop

Only have about 40 hands on this player, but he seems like a rock. 10.8 VP%IP, 5 PFR. My plan was to check to him, expecting him to bet with missed overcards and check/raise to protect my hand. LAGgy or OK?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) converter

MP2 ($50.50)
CO ($78.60)
Button ($146.75)
SB ($13.85)
BB ($32.50)
Hero ($91.05)
UTG+1 ($87.65)
MP1 ($55.80)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $2</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, Hero calls $1.50.

Flop: ($4.75) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 bets $3</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $9...</font>

i don't know. how about calling and leading the turn with a pot sized bet? i think the fold equity for an AK would be a little bit higher since he's only got one card left.

I have fallen in love with the stop and go lately. I'd use it here, too, probably.

Yeah, I think that that's a better line than the check/raise, because if he calls, I've really gotta shut down, even if I have the best hand.
