Default Stop and Go - Good move or not?

Only my third hand at the table. The villian played both of his blinds very weak, calling a min raise from both and making a very weak min bet on the flop with 3 people in from his SB only to fold on the turn to a slightly lager than min bet when a brick hit.

Average stack is about 4000 so I need to build some chips. When the button min raised I figured he could have just about anything and would fold easily if he missed the flop. I decide this would be a great time for a stop and go to try and build some chips.

I had already decided to for the stop and go. Also after seeing the flop it seemed very good for me. If he Ace or King rag he would easily let it go. And as long as he doesn't have an J or T i'm leading here with my tens.

Any comments on whether or not you think this is a good play considering my short stack.

Default Re: Stop and Go - Good move or not?

With half the average stack and 10 bb's left, I wouldn't feel all too short stacked. I'm looking for one hand to double up on and then you're right back in it. Betting 1670 to win 900....i don't think it's necessary here.

Also, what it the villian's stack size? This play might have a good chance of working but too often, I see someone min-raising on the button with a big pair trying to get action.
