He's 39/7/2.05 after 400 hands.

Folds to Villain in CO, who raises it to $40. I'm SB and call, BB also calls.

I bet $75, BB folds, Villain makes it $250.


Now I'm fairly certain has missed overcards when he checks behind on the flop due to it being three handed. He's not capable of being tricky enough to check behind a big overpair and a set is also unlikely because he would almost certainly to sandbag it some more.

What's the best line to take here, keeping in mind that I likely have the best hand.

Call the turn, check and call most river cards seems like a good idea to me. He seems the type to give enoug implied bluff odds, that it's worth risking getting drawn out. He would bet the river again with no pair, right?

Check/call. If you bet out, a Q will obviously call, and you'll probably lose about the same amount as you would check/calling. Checking lets him take another stab at it with AK. There's no value betting to be done here unless he has a lower pair, which is unlikely given the flop.

i guess this is played with a very strong read on the villian, you say hes not tricky enough to play a set/overpair like this but hes gonna bluff raise you with a hand like AK? if villian is straightforward bad wouldnt he bet this flop?

Check call a reasonable river bet. Think about mucking if he makes an out of line bet (which is either a pure bluff or a boat).
