Default Info on Absolute Cash Outs?

This weekend, I got e-mail regarding an account specific offer from Absolute. (Haven't played there in about two months as I finally gave up on the site.)

Anyway the offer interested me (i.e. small cash rebate on deposit and free tourney entry) enough to think giving them another chance.

My big concern is the recent reports of slow payout by AP. Any one have any updates on if the issue was resolved or if it is continuing?

I cashed out some money on the 19th, it didn't hit neteller until the 23rd.

I then cashed out the remainder of my funds at AP on the 23rd, and it has not hit neteller yet. 46 hours and counting on my latest cashout.

Oh, that does not sound good. I may be staying away from AP a bit longer than.

How does that not sound good?

Some of you are pretty spoiled by instant cash outs.

Try to withdraw from Pacific, then come tell me about how bad it is to wait 48-72 hours.

Absolute is fine.
I made a large withdrawl from them last night, and I won't be surprised if it's not in my account until Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
I'll have nothing to complain about if that happens.

unlike AngryCola, i think it would be wise to steer clear of absolute for the time being. slow cashouts after always being fast is not a good sign IMO. all the bonuses they have been offering makes me leary that they may be having cash flow issues.

(me thinks AngryCola just doesn't want all the 2+2 LAGS leaving his game )

cheers!

What I mean is that when a site with a history of fast cash outs suddenly (and dramatically) increases the time it takes to process cash outs, I begin to wonder why this is happening.

The first possible reason that comes to mind is that they may be having cash flow problems. Since I know nothing about the internal goings on at AP, I have to believe that this is a real possibility. Adding to the likelihood of this is the fact that AP has been doing a lot to increase deposits lately. This includes offering more bonuses than usually (even for AP) over the last month or so, sending e-mail with special account specific deposit offers, and even personally calling players with special offers). These are all efforts to drive deposits, and driving deposits is exactly what a poker site with cash flow problems would do.

I am not trying to create and spread rumors about AP, as I know nothing about its financial position. Most likely, everything is fine with them. However, there is always a bit of trust required when you make a deposit, and I see signs that have weakened must trust that all is well at AP.

I am not inclined to be excited about making deposits at sites that may be having cash flow problems, especially ones that have other negative features as well (i.e. slow software, ugly interfaces, allowing only 3 tables, etc).

So has everyone pretty much dismissed AP's stated reasons for the slowdown? It sounded like they were checking to make sure they caught whoever was scamming/abusing/cheating on some bonus they offered not too long ago. From what I read it sounded like a legit reason for delays.

If anyone debunked that reason and I missed it, let me know.

Yes, it does sound like a legit reason for delay. WE have no reason to think that this did not happen, so let's assume that it did.

The reseach has got to be expensive and delaying cash outs can have a negative effect on customer satisfaction and customer return rate. So, in order to justify doing it, AP must have got hit pretty hard to cause them to research the issue so completely that cash outs time dropped by more than 72 hours.

Getting hit hard by scamming/abusing/cheating is something that can cause cash flow problems.

Didn't Captain Cooks/Casino Kingdom/Casino Classic get brought to their knees by getting their sign up bonus hit so hard? That same thing could/may be happening at AP.

I don't know for sure, but there does seem to be reason for concern.

While it would suck to lose the 2+2 LAGs, that's not the reason I've been defending them. In fact, I doubt many 2+2 drunks LAG it in the games I'm playing, but it would explain a few weird plays.

I understand the points about it suddendly taking longer to cash out, but still believe it's all a bit of an overreaction.

Also, an update...

I made my withdrawl at appx. midnight today.
It hit my Neteller account 30 minutes ago.

I'm outraged!
