Default NL Decision - Opinions Please

Player A bets $100

Player B calls $100 and raises $60 more (all-in). $160 total.

Player C calls the $160 and raises $80 more (all-in). $240 total.

Player D calls $240.

Back to Player A. What are his options?

Keep in mind that in NL a raise must equal the previous bet in order for
the betting to be reopened by a player that has already acted on his hand.

This reminds me of the LSAT.... but ill take a shot at it....

If "in NL a raise must equal the previous bet in order for the betting to be reopened by a player that has already acted on his hand" is always true, then the player can only call.

I don't understand your question. Are you asking whether or not Player A is allowed to raise?

Since you said a raise and not cumulative raises, he can call.

Just a guess though.

Player A can either raise, call, or fold.

Call or fold. No individual raised enough to reopen the betting.

Default Online? Anything is possible

This particular code is mostly botched everywhere. The most common is that any trivial raise reopens the action. An example:

A - $200
B - $200
C - $21

A bets $20. B must realise he is open to a big re-raise when C pushes in. It ain't right but it's the same for everyone. This ain't bean bag.

Imagine a day when the big sites get the blinds and button to behave like RL. Add 5 years and that's when this issue will be fixed.

sorry to get involved, because i rarely play nl, but who says this is the case?

so in nl if i bet $500 someone with money (not all in) can't raise me $250? they have to raise $500? i didn't know that

if that is the case, then it seems logical to me that Player A hasn't been raised by Player B, but he has been raised $140 by Player C, so he can fold, call, raise $140 or more, or raise all in
