Default What effect does lowering the rake have? (crosspost)

TStoneMBD's post in small stakes got me wondering what effect a lower rake would have. Would everyone's winrate increase proportionally with the decrease in rake, or would some players benefit more than others? If so, why?

Since the loosest players generally win the most pots and are most affected by the rake, their winrate will increase the most. The tightest players will see the least change in their winrate.
