PokerRoom - ID #?

Please help an alien :

I´m german and tried the 2. time to register at pokerroom without success. I´m supposed to type in my ID # , but their system won´t accept my ID, which is composed of 10 digits.

Since I guess this declaration is pro forma only, can anybody from the US please provide their style of ID (how many digits, combination of digits and letters?).
