smart but stubbornly stupid
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter Button ($0) SB ($46.23) BB ($42.04) UTG ($48.75) Hero ($48) UTG+2 ($64.65) MP1 ($82.86) MP2 ($37.38) MP3 ($101.7) CO ($44.47) Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J, J. SB posts a blind of $0.25. 1 fold, Hero raises to $2, UTG+2 raises to $8, 6 folds, Hero calls $6. Flop: ($16.75) 9, 5, K (3 players) Hero checks, UTG+2 checks. Turn: ($16.75) J (3 players) Hero checks, UTG+2 bets $7, Hero calls $7. River: ($30.75) 2 (3 players) Hero checks, UTG+2 bets $33, Hero calls $33 (All-In). Final Pot: $96.75 Here's what kills me... The villian is a rock. Based on his reraise I put him on 3 hands; Aces, Kings and, least likely, queens. I do not believe he would have reraised with AK. I was calling for a set only. When the flop came and he DIDN'T bet.... alarms went off. He could have aces... yet I felt he would have bet them. Then hell came on the turn... you KNOW the jack had to come to screw with me. When he went all in... I actually typed, "I'm know I'm stupid cause you have kings." I called. The table was like, great read, why'd you call. I weakly said I just can't lay down second nuts. If I may say.... the reason the jack fell is... party poker is rigged! |
