It shows the value of ur stack. However it assumes all the players are just as good and its doesnt have blinds.
Example: If you have 2400 chips is ur stack really worth 3x the buy-in? most likely not, ICM is really cool.

ICM = Internal Chip Magnet

Its what guys like Dutch Boyd have installed in their fingers that allow them to do cool chip tricks without dropping or spilling the chips everywhere.
