Default suspicious credit card charges

Over the last three months, I've had someone charge AOL to my bank account, a subscription to the Motley Fool to one of my credit cards, and had some kind of weird PayPal charge show up on another of my credit cards. Each of the transactions was around $25-$40.

It may be a goot idea for those that aren't doing so to start scanning your bank and credit card statements for these small fraudulent charges. They are easy to miss if all you do is check to make sure that your overall balance is close to what it should be (which is what I used to do).

Signing up for Motley Fool is pretty funny to begin with, but using a stolen credit card number to do so borders on the sublime.

If you aren't getting a credit report every 3 months or so and checking your credit card balances every month, you're asking to be put in the hurt locker.
