AA hand Party 2-4 NL (6 max)
CO is a 37 VPIP, 5.4 PFR%, Postflop Agg. 1.5. I've only been at the table for about 30 hands but i have about 400 hands on the CO from datamining and he's making 17 BB/100
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter CO ($382.11) Hero ($354) SB ($77.3) BB ($692.59) UTG ($674.7) MP ($392.1) Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $2. 2 folds, CO raises to $8, Hero raises to $25, 2 folds, CO calls $17. Flop: ($56) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) CO checks, Hero bets $40, CO raises to $150, Hero folds. Final Pot: $246 Comments on all streets please. Pre-flop: Should I raise more? If so, how much? Flop: Given the flop's texture (either I'm really ahead or really behind), would I be better off checking behind to keep the pot small and check/call if he bets the rest of the way? Did I make the correct laydown? |

Re: AA hand Party 2-4 NL (6 max)
You don't think CO might try a check-raise here with AK?
If not, then he has KQ, KK, or QQ. Seems like an OK laydown, if you know your player well enough. |

Re: AA hand Party 2-4 NL (6 max)
I tended to think not. I checked pokertracker and the only other time he CR'd was when he had 2-pair with A-J. However, the possibility that he could be making the same play with AK was still at the back of my mind during the hand.

Re: AA hand Party 2-4 NL (6 max)
ridiculous spot.
preflop fine. flop... so tough. I'm on the fence. the board isn't draw heavy so why would he check raise with a set of queens. Also do you think he would raise PF with KQ, and wouldn't he reraise with KK? If you can't call a raise on the flop from him, then check. Seems like AK to me, but I can't fault your laydown. Whats his won showdown %. |

Re: AA hand Party 2-4 NL (6 max)
He went to showdown 26% and won 55%.
I think he would min-raise with KQ in the cutoff. This is the hand i actually put him on. Also, if I decide to play the hand past the flop, would it be better to simply call on the flop or push all in? I lean towards calling so I can get more money out of the potential AK. |

Re: AA hand Party 2-4 NL (6 max)
I really do not see AK check raising on this flop. Very nice lay down.
