Craziness in Barcelona
Found myself at the Gran Casino Barcelona over Spring Break recently... like ya do... They only spread two games there, a 5e/10e blind pot limit Omaha and a 20e/40e hold'em game.
I'll post the 20/40 hands here because the players were not good at all and the game played about like the Foxwoods 5/10 or something like that. Honestly, if any of you are ever in the area, play in the game. It's wonderful. Here goes: 20/40 (euro) Hold 'em: Casino Gran Barcelona (9-handed) BB is a very loose type who will take shots at pots. MP player less loose than others at the table but pretty non-descript. LMP generally loose/bad. Other players (including the few good players) not involved. Flops were generally seeing around 5 players. Many of the players seemed to get weak on later streets, though there were a couple of total calling stations (including the LMP and the BB). Deranged is UTG with 99. Deranged calls. Folded to MP who raises. LMP calls two cold. Folded to BB who calls. I call. Four see the flop for 2 bets. Flop: A 9 5, two clubs. BB checks, Deranged checks, MP checks, LMP checks. The plan here was a value check-raise... big-time whiff. Turn: 3, no club. BB bets, Deranged (???).... In general, my question here involves how to handle situations where you whiff a flop check-raise and are confronted with a bet in front of you on the turn. |

Re: Craziness in Barcelona
Easy raise. Can't let anyone draw for the flush cheaply. Also, since these guys are so loose/bad, they probably won't mind calling 2 cold much more than calling 1. If the flop were completely uncoordinated it might be closer to just calling.
