Here is a hand from the tourney that had me thinking. Was the fold correct?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (6 handed) converter

UTG (t1540)
MP (t1660)
CO (t1040)
Button (t2470)
Hero (t1910)
BB (t715)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to t100</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>.

Final Pot: t145

I raise in this situation. If I don't take the pot down right there, and miss the set, it's a check/fold on the flop.

Thanks. Figured my play wasn't ideal.

Calling or folding aren't unwarrented here. Calling is weak, IMO, raising shows you have less than zero. I think the fold is incorrect, and just calling is weak, therefore, a raise is needed.
