Default Hand reading quiz

£1/£2 blinds PL. I have £140 behind, table ranges from £70 to £500. 7 people limp, and I complete the SB. Not good but not a complete moron BB raises to £5. Everyone calls. I raise pot. What do I have?

I actually want to know what you think of my play, but hope that starting off in this fashion will prove interesting.

you have AK. probably suited, but not always.

you didnt want to raise the pot from the SB and get several callers OOP, but since this donk obligied and minraised, you can now bomb it and isolate this guy with his likely low PP or suited connector.

i like it when used sparingly.

I hope its not QQ. you can raise to $20, which is 1/7th of your stack. i can see not raising with 400 behind, but with that stack, I think you need to raise QQ.

"I hope its not QQ. you can raise to $20, which is 1/7th of your stack. i can see not raising with 400 behind, but with that stack, I think you need to raise QQ. "

Can you explain this concept better? So since he's short stacked and can get a good amount of his stack in preflop he should? Say this were NL should he just push? I think I need some help with the short buy theory.

"you didnt want to raise the pot from the SB and get several callers OOP, but since this donk obligied and minraised, you can now bomb it and isolate this guy with his likely low PP or suited connector."

Wouldn't this logic also apply to QQ/JJ?

Pro read by fsuplayer, exacly my thought! Miniraising from BB like often means small PP or SC. And heros action is sounds very much like AKs & AK

If you put bb on a pocket pair, why would you want to isolate with AK? I'd rather do it with something like TT which is actually way ahead instead of just a coinflip.
