Where to get quality chips for relatively little dough?

I'm looking to find a set of 11.5g chips in 3-4 colors with simple, classic design -- either solid color or with those little white "flags" around the edge. You know, enough for an eight-seated home game, complete with case.

I did a little shopping online and can't seem to find a price below like $45 once you figure in shipping. Does anyone have this beat? A friend of mine mentioned something about Costco having a set for $35, but I'm not a member and anyway that was months ago.

Any good leads appreciated.

In this weekends ads K-Mart had a set of 500 11.5 g Dice Chips in an aluminum case, cards, dice, etc. for $39.99. I'm in Omaha, NE so this might just be a regional thing, but K-Mart is nationwide so you can check there. OR you can get these, Good cheap $0.06 Chips so you could get 500 chips for $30 bucks. Add a case for another $20 or $25 and your set.

Try http://www.spinettis.com/shop/ - I've bought chips from them a year ago. Also consider skipping the case and just buying racks from them - you'll probably save $30 bucks right there.

Yeah, screw the case just get racks if you're going budget.

If you want really cheap chips you owe it to yourself to check out the 'faux clay' for .06 on 5stardeal. Order 1 of each color and compare them to some dice chips. You really don't get an idea of how much better they are in play until you have big stacks on the table and someone bumps the table. The 'faux clay' stay in place much better than most dice chips I've seen.

I second the faux clay chips as the best cheap chips out there.

They aren't very slick, stay in place well, and all around are the most impressive cheap chip ive handled. They feel and handle as well as weigh about as much as the blue chip "Fan of Cards" chips. I have 6 samples of the "Fan of Cards" here and they sound and feel exactly like my faux clay .06 cent chips. Of course the blue chips look nicer, but they are 70 cents more a chip =)

I'll throw in another endorsement of the 10 g faux chips. I got a set of 1000 as I needed enough for 16-20 person tourneys and didn't want to spend a lot. The chips aren't great looks wise, but feel and sound are excellent for the price. Everyone loves them at my games.

Skip out on the case, just go with racks and you'll be right around $40-$50.

Amazing how it's $50 either way -- $10 + $40 shipping or $15 + $35 shipping.

I still say get the faux clays for 6¢ each plus reasonable shipping -- better chips and about the same price.
