45 Senators voted against repealing 1993 tax on SS benefits

55 votes for repealing the tax. 45 votes against it. Many Democrats voted against repealing the tax on SS benefits. This is quite disappointing. I supported the repeal. I don't think SS benefits should be taxed at all. They've already been taxed once before.

but if there is no crisis, why would we need to?
why was there a crisis in 2000? why is there not one now? oh, its because if the Republicans FIX the problem, the Democrats will not have a tool to scare the elderly into voting for their assinine ideas and candidates. whatever it takes to not let the public see the truth. that truth, that horrible FACT that the Libs hate??? Bush is doing a GOOD JOB! oh no!

Ah, I see.
Kinda like if the Republicans "fix" abortion and gay marriage, the Republicans will not have a tool to convince the evangelicals into voting for their assinine(sic) ideas and candidates.

Dead, just ignore the trolls. He's obviously just here to spout his own stupid agenda rather than discuss anything with anyone.
