Re: T8s - A draw hand
Call. Straight draws are so much more deceptive than flush draws and you nearly have pot odds for a 6-outer. Maybe some bluff equity for a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] if that's not what the other guy is on.

Re: T8s - A draw hand
Turn: ($50.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $15, Hero calls $15, UTG folds. River: ($80.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) UTG+1 bets $10, Hero folds. I'm not sure why I didn't bluff here. I think I just didn't wnat to put in a large amount of my stack on a bluff and felt that I would need to make it at least 40-50 for my raise to be believable and even then the pot would be a pretty decent size and my bluff equity would have to be low I think. My hand does look exactly like a flush draw though and his bet is small but I would prefer to bluff if my opponent checked the river. The big bluff is not a big part of my game atm and I wanted to play this hand simply - put my money in with a +EV draw. Just wanted to make sure this hand was standard as it cost me a large percentage of my stack. |
