Default Under raise rules question...

Quick question:

Blinds are 200-400 and under the gun goes all in for 700 (an under raise, yes?) can anyone else reraise preflop?

cool, so at no point does an under raise restrict a reraise in a no limit tournament?

It wouldn't restrict a raise in a limit tournament either, in the situation you outlined.

right. So the under raise rule would only apply if you had already acted... such as utg limps, and utg+1 under raises. Then UTG couldnt reraise but anyone else could?

Sorry, i'm just trying to resolve my ignorance.

I ran into something like this the other night and was confused as well. I think this statement is correct. Can someone verify?

Any all-in bet that is less than the bet or raise before it (could be several raises of different amounts in no limit game) is considered action only and is not considered a raise.

But if UTG limps and UTG+1 under raises, I believe there are two things that could occur that would allow you to re-raise.

1) Say blinds are 200/400 and UTG limps, UTG+1 goes all-in for 700, and CO calls 700, folds around to UTG, UTG can choose to either call or re-raise...right?

2) Same situation, but CO raises to 1200, then obviously you could re-raise.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the first situation.

1) I may be wrong, but I believe if UTG calls 400, and UTG+1 goes all-in for 700, the betting isn't re-opened for UTG. It's just considered an all-in, not a raise. 800 or more would re-open the betting.

2) Yes
