I've noticed over the past few weeks that theres been a surge of tight players into the Party 10/20 game. A lot are quite competent, probably small winners, with stats like 15/8. Most likely moving up from ring games.
Anyway, the button in this hand is such a player. Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP raises, Tight Dude calls, SB calls, Hero calls. Flop: (8 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, Hero checks, MP checks, Tight Dude checks. Turn: (4 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, Hero bets, MP folds, Tight Dude raises, SB folds, Hero 3-bets, Tight Dude folds. Final Pot: 9 BB |

No commment on the hand particularly but I took a shot at the 10/20 over the last couple of weeks about 4k hands and found a few of these players there, they were agr but quickly dropped or let go with hands I think better players would have pushed. However mainly the game was full of loose/passive players who had bouts of insane agr postflop. I did however encounter the player of heard about so much the thinking LAG with very good hand reading and postflop ability. I table hopped like a bunny though so I doubt I played more than 5-10 hands with any reasonable players.

Everyone that I play against is terrible. I'm not kidding either. Everyone plays too loose. Most are either way too passive or way too agressive postflop.

anyone with 15/8 stats in the 10/20 6max cannot be labeled as "quite competent"

I would bet flop. On turn you got 3rd pair and a 15/8 raises. Why not fold? A 15/8 is normally not the guy that will raise turn as a semibluff thinking u dont have what you represent (I like his raise). I guess you want him to fold a pair of Ts, but what will he coldcall with preflop if he is only coming in with 15%?
Im not sure a 15/8 guy will fold a better hand then yours or be on a bluff often enough to make 3bet good, but I could be wrong. |

By the way, I like the 15/8 guys. They are not seeing enough flops to be a problem. The 35/20 are much worse, them u have to have a read on.

I bet the flop.
I like your turn 3bet, he probably folded AT, KTs or such |
