Need help, keep losing my entire stack
On plays like this. I guess the reraise preflop could have told me he had AA. Would you have gotten away from this hand earlier?

Re: Need help, keep losing my entire stack
well what does a reraise putting 1/5 a stack in preflop mean in that game? thats what you have to figure out. if its AK, KK or AA, you dont have odds to draw to a set. you are either a small fav or a big dog. if the reraise could mean JJ or TT, then its push or fold.

Re: Need help, keep losing my entire stack
This won't happen often enough to be significant. Can't fold pre-flop. Certainly can't fold when you set up.
Set over set happens. Very occasionally... |

Re: Need help, keep losing my entire stack
Havent you read Zaxx' guide to stacking low limit donkeys with a set...
You must lead weakly at this flop. You must call his reraise. You must lead strongly at the turn here. You must get him pot commited by the river and push. You still would have gotten stacker there is no way to avoid that once you flopped a set on that board...so post flop is fine. As to whether you call that reraise with QQ preflop its read dependant entirely. |

Re: Need help, keep losing my entire stack
This is often avoidable with better preflop play. You should raise preflop for more - make it 4XBB at least, I prefer 5-8. That will often get an AA/KK/AK to push rather than the raise they did make.
If he pushed preflop, and you had no evidence that he was a donkey, you would fold. If he made a big raise, and you had no evidence that he was a donkey, you would fold or push at this level and with these stacks IMO. With any shred of evidence that he is the typical crazy moron at this level it is an easy push, otherwise its a tough call and I will sometimes fold. As it happened, you should not flat call that raise unless you feel confident he is on a weaker PP or an AX. You don't have odds to draw to a set. |

Would you have gotten away from this hand earlier? [/ QUOTE ] oh yeah, i'd definitely muck middle set. also, it's a bad plan to only play with KK/AA against a 3-bet pre-flop. |
