Default Why aren\'t the God Questions in OOT?

(OOT = Other Other Topics)

Heck, why not just make another forum for them?

Just curious.

I guess it depends on why the question is being asked?

Makes sense... but I don't know if these are really psychology questions... Even so, what you would do to study them psychologically is:

-post the question in oot
-have people reply to it there
-analyse their responses here.

Right?

Mabye the OOT regulars are morons so the signal-to-noise could be extremely low?

I doubt that the Psych forum participants are any smarter than the OOTers.

David kicked off the religion threads here. They remain here mostly out of tradition I think. Which is not bad, seeing as how a 4-month old thread has recently been revived and it makes sense to keep the related threads in the same forum.

I think it is quite obvious David is grappling with issues which deal with his own developing belief system. In many ways, this is a psychological issue of his. I think the questions are the way he deals with this issue.

Because we OOTers don't want them there.

there are alot more intelligent OOT posters, but there also alot more dumb OOT posters than in this forum.

every time someone posts a religious thread in OOT, people say, "shouldn't this be in psychology?"

Try not to think so much, since you do a rather poor job of it.

If one thinks that it's interesting to learn about the way that serial killers think, it does not imply that they themselves are looking for hints and tips. It more likely implies that they're fascinated by a thought process that is so removed from their own.
